Usagi's Everlasting Wish! A New Reincarnation
Mamoru casts a rose at Beryl, shattering the dark shard she had flung at the young lovers and impaling her in the chest. Beryl falls to her knees once the energy from his love starts to destroy her from the inside.
An utterly amazing cel, one which from the looks of things has some interesting history. The seller I bought this from was the one whom I'd been acquiring other Beryl cels from, since they had quite the primo collection. This cel came with the very original matching BG, along with the sketch for A22 (the sequence mate) and a layout/timing sheet for A8/9.
The background has tag notes on the top left which say '8-28, -33' which are all the sequences it was used for.
The background has damage, however, which is clearly from A22 being partially stuck at one stage going by the sketch I have, meaning this BG used to belong/was stored with A22, and was later moved or acquired separately and placed with A9. To add to this, I know which seller in Japan has the A22 sequence cel, and if I recall from the last three times its been listed, it comes with the sketch to A9. Talk about mixing it up, guys...
She's got quite a lot of line fading, but I'm still amazed to have such a beautiful piece. I also love the error that is her dress, which has been partially painted red.
I now have that song stuck in my head, but it's so true! Beryl does give love a bad name ;)
