I haven’t 100% located where this lovely guy belongs. The problem with the Pokemon anime is that when they went into the digital side of things their sketches stopped being marked appropriately (so no “cel numbers” etc were used, or even needed, since they would have been scanned in as soon as they were approved). I thought that he was from the Darkrai VS Cresselia episode, but looking at screenshots there is nothing that matches.
Nor does he match any of the last few DP episodes where a Darkrai was featured.
… so it could be OP genga, or even movie genga (I found similar scenes though no matches when I looked). Wouldn’t surprise me, I just need to do some more digging when more healthy.
The gif is missing some in-betweens, since I only have the three sheets of this sequence, but still.
